The Misers are delighted to announce that they will play their debut, hometown gig at the Conquest Theatre on December 4th part of their UK tour. The Misers, fronted by Singer/Songwriter Neil Ivison (who incidentally, made his stage debut at the Conquest over 17 years ago!) have opened for Ocean Colour Scene and recently played a sell out UK tour with The Proclaimers during the summer. The band also features Bromyard musicians Karl Dixon on Bass & Shane Dixon on Drums.
In February, The Misers secured a DOUBLE chart victory, racing to the top of the Americana AND Country charts on Myspace UK. They have also topped the Unsigned Chart for 3 consecutive weeks with the download only single ‘Back In Your Arms’. They have appeared on ITV Wales’ ‘The Wales Show’ & SkyArtsHD ‘The Book Show At Hay’.
The Misers released their debut album ‘Amplified Life Stories’ in June 2010 and are being championed by Radio 2’s Janice Long who says the band are “a return to the 70’s golden era of song writing!
The band will be supported by Smokestack and the show will be in aid of the Bromyard Pipe Organ Fund.
