Old Herefordshire on Film
Presented by Amanda Huntly of Huntly Film Archives
An evening of rare archive film of Herefordshire since 1910. A hundred years has seen great change in our towns and cities and on the land. The film shows old Hereford, before cars clogged the streets, Steam Trains to Ledbury, the regiment marching off to World War One, the old cattle market, Cidermaking by horse power, hop picking by hand, Land Army at work World War Two and the Three Choirs festival. A fond look back with nostalgia and historical interest, brought alive with old movies.
