...are most welcome to apply and join our waiting list. We're not taking any more people this term as we are bursting at the seams!. Application forms can be downloaded HERE
If you need to contact us call Barbara Hockley on 01885 483614 or email here.
Anyone between 11 years and 18ish can join! We do not have auditions or any other type of selection process ... BUT you will need the commitment and enthusiasm required to make a good team player. You need to be able to attend regularly and must be responsible enough to keep to the Youth Theatre Code.
Conquest Theatre Bromyard (Tenbury Road)
Monday evenings
Junior Group (11 - 14): 6pm - 7.30pm led by Libby Vale
Senior Group (14+): 7.30pm - 9.30pm led by Barbara Hockley
We do all kinds of workshops to improve skills and confidence, we make films and produce high quality shows for stage and, sometimes, for outdoor events. We are a theatre company - not a youth group with an inclination towards drama!
We work incredibly hard at CYT to make each year challenging, different and exciting for everyone and all members are expected to participate in at least one production every year. In return we ask that you only apply to join if you really want to be in a hard working and dedicated theatre company . The fees we charge are extremely modest and help to fund the theatre as well as the Youth Theatre productions. We are incredibly lucky to have a theatre in such a small town and the Youth Theatre benefit enormously by having this wonderful facility as their 'home'.
We belong to the National Association of Youth Theatres and have attended the NAYT organised 'Big Youth Theatre Festival' at Gilwell Park in Essex in past years. Pics of these events can be found on our archives section. You can visit the NAYT website via the links page
This is a selection of shows we've performed over the last 5 years or so. Click on the links to see cast and crew details as well as heaps of great pics.
The Dream Makers, Seeing Things, May Contain Nuts! and some of the sketches from Perilous Tales are available for performance and you can browse the scripts on the Offbeat Theatre Website You can also hire the Bugsy costumes and guns from Offbeat Theatre - see site for details.
